RICS Matrics Young Surveyor of the Year Awards recognises and celebrates the most inspirational young surveying professionals in the UK.  We are delighted to hear that a local business and Kingston Chamber member Blakes Chartered Surveyors were shortlisted for prestigious industry award.

There were eleven categories in which nominations were invited, representative of the key areas of practice in the UK. The judging panel looked for young talent who demonstrate excellence within the profession. The awards seek to recognise those excelling within their surveying roles and inspirational role models and ambassadors for the surveying profession. Candidates were judges on five key areas including client satisfaction, exceptional achievement, team player/collaboration, innovation, ambassador to the profession. The judging panel included senior representatives from the RICS, Estate Gazette and other Leading Industry institutions with the overall winner being selected by TV’s Amazing Spaces, George Clarke. This prestigous event was held on the 14th November 2014 at the Marriot Grosvenor Square.

Roshan Sivapalan, Director of Blakes Chartered Surveyors was shortlisted and joint runner up in the Residential category of the awards ceremony. “I was delighted to have been shortlisted for such a prestigious award and thoroughly enjoyed the awards ceremony to celebrate the young talent within the surveying profession. Since establishing Blakes Chartered Surveyors in 2013, I have been overwhelmed by the take up of our services and I am especially pleased to be assisting Kingston residents on a daily basis with their property requirements. ”
